Niche Creative Solutions is the independent graphic design studio of Gibraltar-based designer and artist Geraldine Martinez.
My design career began while I was living in Australia, where I worked with clients both locally and internationally. Seven years later, I moved to Spain and continued to grow my design business, working with clients across different countries and sectors.
In 2008, I brought Niche Creative Solutions back to Gibraltar, my native home, where I have continued to build the business and work with a diverse range of clients.
Today, Niche Creative Solutions brings together more than 20 years of experience across graphic design, branding, website design, advertising and visual communication.
From an idea to a finished project
Over the years, I have worked on a wide variety of creative projects — from developing complete brand identities and designing websites to creating advertising campaigns, brochures, publications, signage, promotional materials and digital content.
As an independent designer, I work directly with my clients from the initial idea through to the finished project. This means I can take the time to understand what each client is trying to achieve and develop a creative solution that is both visually distinctive and purposeful.
Good design isn’t simply about making something look attractive. It’s about understanding what you are trying to communicate, who you are communicating with and how design can help you achieve it.
Design across print and digital
My experience spans both traditional and digital design.
From printed brochures, advertising and corporate stationery to websites, digital campaigns and social media content, I enjoy creating cohesive visual communication that works across different platforms.
Website design has been an important part of Niche Creative Solutions for many years. I approach websites from both a design and communication perspective, considering not only how a site looks, but how it represents the business, communicates with its audience and works as part of the wider brand.
A creative practice that has evolved
Over the years, my creative work has naturally expanded beyond graphic design.
Alongside Niche Creative Solutions, I have developed my own practice as an artist and muralist and founded Gibraltar Artists Studio, where I now teach art classes and creative workshops.
My work as an artist continues to influence the way I approach design, bringing a strong understanding of composition, colour, imagery, typography and visual storytelling to my work.
Today, Niche Creative Solutions continues to provide graphic design, branding and website design services, but on a more selective basis. I take on projects where my experience and creative approach can make a genuine difference, while allowing me the time to continue developing my own work as an artist.
Design with a creative perspective
I believe good design should be clear, purposeful and visually distinctive, but it should also have personality.
After almost three decades working across different countries, clients and industries, I’ve learned that there isn’t one formula for good design. Every business and project has its own character, audience and objectives.
My role is to understand those differences and create something that feels right for the client — whether that’s a complete visual identity, a website, an advertising campaign or a single piece of communication.
